Folder Synchronize Script Editor Help

image\FSICON2.gif Folder Synchronize Script Editor is a companion program to create &/or edit scripts for our Folder Synchronize or Directory Toolkit utilities. Please see Usage Notes for some important information! In particular, Folder Synchronize Script editor is for Folder Synchronize v 2.6+ and Directory Toolkit v 4.0+.

Usage is fairly straightforward. When the Script Editor launches it opens with a blank script. Load existing scripts by clicking on the 'Load Script' button. Expand & contract the various trees of related commands by clicking on the image\plus.gif / image\minus.gif. Switches that have a field input you must type in are shown with image\input.gif - click on the image\input.gif or the switch name to activate the input field. Switches with a drop down list are shown with a image\choice.gif. Radio button image\radio1.gif and checkbox image\check1.gif / image\check2.gif graphics are used for either/or and on/off switches. Click on the 'Show All' button to expose all possible commands for a given area.

The Script Editor can accept the name of a script file on the command line. If that script exists it will be opened.

A description of the script switches generated by Folder Synchronize Script Editor is available. See Script Syntax.
